ʾrbʿt (Wz. rbʿ) "Within the earlier 'lighter' standard, four pieces of the basic unit (drachm, ASA nṣf = N) had the value of one tetradrachm. Consequently, the tetradrachm was named 'fourfold' or the like (ASA ʾrbʿt). However, with the introduction of the 'heavier' standard, the ratio of the (unchanged) tetradrachm to the basic unit decreased from 4:1 to 3:1. Since the value of the tetradrachm did not correspond any more with the basic meaning of the proper term (ʾrbʿ(t) = 'four'), a new designation was looked for and found in the name blṭt. The former designation, however, remained in use as a unit of account — in order to keep the even-numbered system alive." Stein 2010a 312
ʾrbʿt (Wz. rbʿ) "The noun is derived from the numeral ʾrbʿ(t) 'four' and as such obviously represents the fourfold of the monetary unit nṣf. This etymology strongly suggests a connection with the Greek tetradrachm (perhaps as a loan translation from Greek τετράδραχμον). This identification, however, is only valid within the 'lighter' standard. In contrast to this, within the 'heavier' standard, rbʿt as a 'fourfold' has a purely numerical value of four standard units, corresponding to 1⅓ tetradrachms (...)." Stein 2010a 316
