Il semblerait donc que Nahr (...) désigne l'Euphrate, le Fleuve par excellence (arabe nahr, 'rivière, fleuve'). Mais une telle hypothèse fait problème si on identifie S1lky (...) avec Séleucie du Tigre. Le contexte suggère donc de comprendre plutôt la province de l'Euphrate, hypothétiquement la Babylonie ou la Basse-Mésopotamie.
